Getting there

1. By Road
Pangkor Island is accessible by various highways either from Penang, Ipoh or Kuala Lumpur.

From the South, using the north-south PLUS highway, exit at BIDOR interchange and then follow the signage to LUMUT/SITIAWAN. Remember to turn left after BIDOR town. Park your vehicles in Lumut town and proceed to the jetty to catch the ferry to Pangkor Island.

From the North use the North–South PLUS highway exit at CHANGKAT JERING Interchange and follow the signage to LUMUT/SITIAWAN.

Regular bus/coach services are available from Pudu Raya in Kuala Lumpur, Medan Gopeng, Ipoh and Pengkalan Sultan Abdul Halim (Jetty) Butterworth, taxi service are also easily available from the major and cities in Penisular Malaysia.

2. By Air
Pangkor is also accessible by air (Berjaya Air) from Kuala Lumpur. Berjaya Air, a local air carrier offers 4 flights weekly, in just fewer than 35 minutes from Subang Airport to Pangkor Island.

It takes 45 minutes by ferry from Lumut to Pangkor Island. Upon arriving at the Pangkor jetty, if you have not made any prior arrangement with the resort etc., there are taxis (van) waiting eagerly to ferry you to your destination costing RM10–RM20 depending on distance of resort of your choice from Pangkor jetty.

You can also rent bicycles or motorbikes for going around the island.
